NSCA HEROISM AWARD

The NSCA Heroism Award is designed to recognize any Shiba Inu that has performed an act of “heroism.” The award will be presented at the annual Awards Banquet at the NSCA National Specialty.

The award will be a certificate stating, “20__ NSCA Heroism Award," dog's name, owner’s name (as shown on AKC registration), Certificate of Recognition, National Shiba Club of America. A picture of the recipient and short article will be printed in the Shiba E-News and posted on the NSCA Awards webpage.

Application period is May 1 through June 30, 2023. Application form may be obtained on the NSCA Awards webpage or through the Awards Committee Chairperson. All application materials may be submitted electronically or hard copy. Where applicable, provide copies of official documentation with the application to verify authenticity.

Qualification:

1. Nominations may be made by anyone; they do not have to be a member.
2. Provide a letter with information regarding the circumstances and act of heroism. Provide any additional documentation (for example, if a newspaper article as written, etc.) Note: additional documentation beyond the letter of nomination is not a requirement.
